Featured Project: Freedom Project in Wynwood Miami, 2014

GONZO247 was invited to create a site specific installation for a group art show in Wynwood, Miami, titled, Freedom. It was coordinated by now good friend, and Wynwood-based artist, Rigo Leon. The show was held in an enormous warehouse in the heart of the neighborhood. Every square inch of the space was covered with artwork. This mural installation read, “Freedom is being YOU, without anyone’s permission”. GONZO attached canvases to the wall prior to painting the mural and when the show closed any of the canvases that had not sold during the show he brought back to Houston to later be acquired by a local art collector.
